What is it? The Diamond State FIRST Tech Challenge is the official FTC Regional tournament for the Delaware area. Winners earn the right to attend the world championships in Atlanta.
Where is it? The tournament is being held in the Bob Carpenter Center at the University of Delaware in Newark DE.
When is it? January 31, 2009
Who can attend? The Diamond State FTC is open to all registered FTC teams on a first come basis. (teams must have paid the registration fee to FIRST to be eligible)
How do teams register? Register by completing and mailing this form! All instructions are included in the form. How many teams will be at the event? The DSFTC is limited to 32 teams max.
How much does it cost? The entry fee for teams that wish to compete is $250 per team, due by January 1, 2009. General admission to the event is free so invite your families, friends, sponsors, etc.
What makes the DSFTC special?
This event is being held in conjunction with the Junior FIRST Lego League and Lego League tournaments and is expected to draw over 130 teams (FTC, FLL, JFLL) with several thousand participants. The DSFTC is organized by a dedicated team of volunteers with 7 years of experience in staging robotic competitions.
