Last year, the high school FIRST Robotics Competition team #365, MOE (Miraclez of Engineering), sponsored 33 FLL teams.  They want to see that number grow even larger this year!  So, once again the MOE team will provide financial sponsorship.  In addition, there will be several other forms of assistance available.  The details are as follows:

1. MOE will financially sponsor any FLL team with the name "MOE" in their name by donating $100 to new first year teams and $50 for 2nd yr teams.  Some creative examples of names from past years were "MOE Knows", "MOE Bigga MOE Betta" and "MOE Skeetos".  Teams should follow the requirements below.

The Team Requirements

For a team to obtain MOE sponsorship a team is required to:

i.   Be officially registered for the year in question with FIRST.

ii.   Reside in DE (all counties), northern MD (Cecil and Kent counties), southeastern PA (Lancaster, Chester and Delaware counties), or south NJ (Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, Cape May and Atlantic counties).

iii.   Attend a First State FIRST Lego League event as an official participant.

iv.   Incorporate the word MOE or the acronym M.O.E. in their officially registered team name.

 Sponsorship Levels

i.   First year teams will receive a $100 sponsorship.

ii.   First year team is defined as a team that did not exist previously in the school or organization prior to that year.  A team that has a new mentor and/or new students in a school or organization is not a first year team if that school or organization had a FLL team the previous year that did not reform.  The team is defined by the school or organization not the members.

iii.   Second year teams will receive a $50 sponsorship.  Same philosophy as in #2.

iv.   There will be no support provide beyond second year teams.

2.  During the beginning of the season, if there is interest, I will provide a workshop for the team coordinators and mentors to outline an approach to addressing this season's FLL challenge.

3. Upon request, I can lead new teams in a brainstorming session to help jump start the robot building phase.
