March 14, 2007 MOE returns from Rochester RegionalOn sunday, at about 1:00 AM, MOE returned to HQ after the long trip back from Rochester, New York. The Finger Lakes Regional Competition, held at RIT was an amazing one. Every match was great, and every team that participated brought suspense, challenge, and excitement to the matches. MOE also had a great time with the various teams that participated in the regional. We can't wait to see them again at Atlanta. March 5, 2007 MOE Pit Loaded for Rochester
March 4, 2007 MOE Open HouseToday we held an open house at MOE HQ. Families of our students came to see what the MOE students were doing, and how Firefox, our practice robot, was working. Some people who came weren't even related to our current students, but were thinking of possible future MOE team members, which is a good thing. Everyone was welcome to this open house. Each of our sub-teams was shown to the visitors and the jobs of the groups were explained to them, and they saw the robot in action. We had great results with our open house. March 1, 2007 MOE Student Achieves MoreToday it was announced that Morgan, a member of the MOE Programming sub-team and the MOE Competition Team, received a $1,250 scholarship from the Society of Women Engineers. This is a great achievement, and everyone at MOE is happy for her success. Not only did Morgan gain the SWE scholarship, she also received a FIRST scholarship to the Florida Institute of Technology for $3,000. She went through an application process, including an interview, and received great results. Congratulations to Morgan, and good luck in your future! February 22, 2007 MOEzilla revealed!

After a very intense competition and poll, we finally were able to come to the last two names for our new robot. MOE members had a very long list of proposed names, and the top two were chosen on the 7th of February. These two were MOEzilla and ArackMOEphobia. MOEster-Chief, though a great name, hit third place. On this date, February 8, the chosen name for our robot was MOEzilla! Also, after many logos were submitted we voted for one that seemed the best for MOE. To the right is the new MOE logo! The 8 gears represent the 8 years that the MOE team has been around. You'll be seeing this logo on our shirts and even animated on our Web site! January 27, 2007FIRST State Lego League TournamentThe FIRST State Lego League Tournament was held at the Bob Carpenter Center on the campus of the University of Delaware. JFLL, FLL, and FTC events were held simultaneously. Many teams participated, and the event was exciting. Each team truly did the best that they could, and all of their ideas and accomplishments were truly great ones. Congratulations to every participating and winning team! Also a big congratulations to the winner of the Tournament Volunteer of the Year Award, Vince Keedy! Good job!

January 21, 2007 MOE in the Newspaper!Today was another busy day at MOE when a reporter came in representing the five regional papers of the Community News. The subteams that make up MOE were interviewed by reporter Kevin Barrett, shown here with our Programming Team. Each of our teams will be covered in this weekly series of articles. This is definitely a nice thing, not only because our students are being featured, but also our team will be recognized throughout the community. You can visit the Community News site at www.communitypub.com ![]() January 15, 2007 MOE at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day CelebrationMOE went out this day to celebrate MLK Day. Martin Luther King Jr. was truly an honorable man. There is no possible way to ignore this man, and what things he did that no one else could do. We demonstrated TerMOEnator, our 2006 robot, and also VEX robots. It was a fun day for MOE students, and the kids had fun too during the whole event. That's always a good thing to see.
January 6, 2007 Kick-off and Brainstorming!2006 is over, and the new year is here. With a new game put into play, and the challenge that this new game is expected to bring, MOE is getting ready for the new world that lies ahead. The competition is something to truly look forward to. While working on our robot, we're also figuring out a name for it, and a few good ones have come up already. We look forward to seeing all the teams at future competitions. Good luck to everyone out there! The MOE Web Team has also begun to think about how to enhance our website for greater results when it comes to your viewing pleasure. More content will be added for the new year, so continue to visit.

Philidelphia Regional was even more fun than Pittsburgh Regional. All of the teams were a pleasure to be around, and the FIRST culture was thriving. Congratulations to Mr. Enslen for winning the Volunteer of Year Award. He does tons of work to help multiple events run smoothly. Also, congratulations to the Web Team, for winning the Web Design Award. March 23, 2006The MOE Forums are back in action for 2006! Join the existing threads or start new ones. Our super custom pit gets loaded for its trip to Pitt... February 28, 2006
Disaster! Our site was down for about twenty-one hours, due to a server problem. Everything is fine now -- however, it did give us a bit of a scare. (Weeks later... it actually took a couple weeks to undo some of the effects of the incident)
February 24, 2006We would like to express our gratitude toward Team 1394 - "Mastery Charter Robotics: Juggernaut" for inducting Team 365 into their Hall of Fame. It is wonderful to see that new teams have benefitted from our inspiration.

Ship is here, and the robot is safely packed away in our famous black and green crate. We are very pleased with the new packing material that was used, even if it does tend to be on the talkative side. February 19, 2006
All the parents of team members got to see the team hard at work on the robot at our open house on Sunday. We have gotten positive feedback from the attendees, who are just as excited as we are to see the robot in good, working condition. February 14, 2006Valentine's Day is here, and robot love is in the air! While the rest of the world is celebrating with pink and red hearts, here at MOE we are signing our love notes (to our robot) with green and black gears. January 21, 2006
The FIRST State LEGO League Tournament was held in the Bob Carpenter Sports/Convention Center on the University of Delaware campus. We had three events running: Junior FIRST LEGO League, FIRST LEGO League, and FIRST VEX Competition in the Center. Congratulations to all winning and participating teams!
January 17, 2006
Like many other FIRST teams, we held a meeting to watch the NASA kickoff feed. Some of our team members attended the official regional FIRST kick off, where they had built a model of the playing field. After the feed, we brainstormed for a way to, hopefully, build our robot.

At the Philadelphia Regional, MOEbius was let loose again and it performed very well. It capped smoothly, and needed only a little bit of fixing. Members helped out other teams in their pits and gave teams awards. We were jumping for joy when we won the Regional Chairman's Award. We were proud that our Pit Lord (Lou Rosanio) was presented with the Regional Woodie Flowers Award. We came up as the second seed in the competition and won the Regional Championship. March 19, 2005
March 10-12, 2005
At the Pittsburgh Regional, MOEbius performed better than we even hoped it would. It ran smoothly, capped well and did not break down at all during the whole competition. Our team members had enthusiastically helped other teams in the pits that were having trouble with their robot and gave out awards to teams. We were very happy when we became the number one seed and went all the way to the finals. We also brought home the Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers Entrepreneurship Award and Johnson & Johnson Sportsmanship Award. The team (especially the web team) was extremely happy when we recieved the regional Website Award. March 6, 2005
February 22, 20053:22 PM EST -- MOEbius, in his MOE green and black crate, left MOE HQ, bound for the Pittsburgh Regional. If a missing student doesn't show up soon, we will just assume that he will appear with MOEbius in Pittsburgh. February 14, 2005It's Valentine's Day, and we're lovin' our robot! MOEbius is in the spirit, if you consider MOE green to be the color of Valentines! February 9, 2005
