MOE Safety
One of our sponsors, DuPont, is well known for it's great safety reputation. DuPont's history began making gun powder at Hagley Mill.
Over the last year, MOE has improved our safety equipment.

Everyone knows that safety glasses are important "Personal Protective Equipment." We wear them at competitions and in the work shop. Here are is our Bucket O' Glasses |

In the 2007 season, MOE had started to use the safety shoes in the work shop. These were kindly provided by one of our sponsors. Each student had his or her own pair. Some of them were cooler than others :) |

Even though our safety boots are safe, they always are kinda hazardous. "Please Febreze(R)" us is another way to say "clean us." |

Ear Plugs are also important for protection, when using loud equipment. And they are used for the competitions which are also very loud. |

There are some Boy Scouts on our team so we are prepared with a first aid kit. But we hope not to need it! |

We have our safety tape to stop people from coming too close to some of our equipment. |

Our safety cones also have the job of keeping people away from some of our work areas. |
|

If there is ever an emergency, we will know and leave via emergency door which is under our emergency exit sign. |
Shannon, our 2007 safety captain, had these words to say: "The most important safety rule last year was making sure that no one cut themselves by accident and to wear their safety glasses."
